Feed Mill Truck Driver – 2nd Shift

About the role

The Feed Mill Truck Driver operates a commercial motor vehicle to transport live poultry and poultry feed between growers and processing facilities on the second shift. This position requires strict adherence to safety regulations and reliable delivery of loads.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
• Perform and document pre‑trip inspections of tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses, etc.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers, ensuring loads are secured before movement.
• Maintain accurate documentation for equipment, trips, weight, and time.
• Clean and wash the truck as needed and report maintenance issues to a supervisor.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays and long shifts, often in inclement weather.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Valid Class A CDL with at least one year of satisfactory driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work unsupervised, self‑motivate, and follow safety procedures.
• Physical ability to sit and drive up to 10 hours, climb in and out of the cab, and lift up to 75 lb.

Required skills

• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Knowledge of DOT, state and federal transportation regulations.
• Basic math skills for load calculations.
