Operations Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Supervisor to lead a team of 20+ warehouse associates in our ground freight network. The role ensures smooth inbound and outbound flows, maintains inventory accuracy, and upholds safety and productivity standards across our facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily inbound appointment logs and open order reports to plan work activities and meet customer metrics.
• Schedule inbound and outbound shipments, determine staffing needs, and assign tasks based on workload.
• Update and communicate operational procedures to warehouse staff.
• Track productivity, evaluate performance by individual, function, and department.
• Collaborate with Inventory Control to achieve high inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage department payroll and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Provide guidance on handling, storing, and shipping items and equipment.
• Maintain team harmony, address grievances, and support employee development.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising 20+ warehouse or operations staff.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory control, and shipping logistics.
• Ability to plan schedules, allocate resources, and meet performance targets.
• Excellent communication skills for training, instruction, and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and payroll administration.
