Engineering Manager

About the role

Singular is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multiple agile squads within a fast‑growing iGaming tribe. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will work closely with product managers and team leads to ensure technical excellence, outstanding user experience, and high‑quality product delivery aligned with Singular’s vision.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in recruiting engineers, focusing on cultural fit and team balance.
• Mentor and manage team leads through regular 1‑to‑1s, performance reviews, and coaching.
• Oversee multiple squads, either directly or via delegated leaders, ensuring roadmap delivery.
• Manage team budgets for training, travel, and team‑building activities.
• Promote engineering best practices, reduce technical debt, and guide coding standards.
• Ensure compliance with technology principles, SDLC, and wider regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations to address incidents, bugs, and service‑level agreements.
• Champion quality, continuous improvement, and a sustainable, scalable engineering culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong people‑management skills, including recruitment, mentorship, and performance management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies and autonomous squad structures.
• Ability to manage budgets and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
