About the role

The Emergency Medicine Pharmacist ensures evidence‑based medication use within an acute care setting, guaranteeing that patients receive the right drugs at the correct doses. This role combines clinical pharmaceutical care with oversight of pharmacy support staff to maintain high standards of safety and efficacy.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient‑centered medication therapy and resolve medication‑related issues.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care teams and communicate follow‑ups effectively.
• Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and clinical guideline development.
• Ensure safe, efficient medication distribution while collaborating with pharmacy technicians.
• Support education and professional development by precepting students and residents.
• Engage in ongoing self‑development through training, seminars, and professional memberships.
• Maintain compliance with all policies, standards, and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Doctorate in Pharmacy.
• Current pharmacist license (RPH).
• Minimum two years of pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills.
