Early Childhood Teacher – On-site

About the role

The Early Childhood Teacher position is based on‑site in Novyy Afon. The teacher plans and delivers developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants, toddlers and preschool‑aged children, following established curricula and best practices in early childhood education.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson materials and facilitate play‑based learning activities.
• Observe, document and assess children’s progress.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with families about child development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and program leadership.
• Participate in ongoing training and apprenticeship activities offered by the institute.
• Contribute to program improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements.
• Support children with diverse cultural and developmental needs.

Required profile

• Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development, age‑appropriate curriculum and play‑based learning.
• Ability to create nurturing, safe and inclusive classroom environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with children, families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Organizational and classroom management skills, including lesson planning and documentation.
• Commitment to continuous professional learning, including participation in apprenticeship programs or CDA coursework.
• Preferred: CDA credential or progress toward CDA; degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education.
• Preferred: Experience in infant‑toddler, pre‑K, family childcare or home‑visiting settings.
• Ability to meet local health, safety and background‑check requirements.
