About the role

LATICRETE International is seeking a seasoned transportation leader to shape and execute its North American freight strategy. The Director, Transportation will oversee inbound, inter‑plant, and outbound movements across multiple modes, ensuring cost‑effective, compliant, and sustainable delivery of products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own a multi‑mode transportation strategy, aligning carriers and optimizing origins across the manufacturing network.
• Define service‑level commitments in partnership with Sales and Customer Service, ensuring measurable delivery windows and cost‑to‑serve targets.
• Lead risk management and business continuity planning for carrier disruptions, port closures, weather events, and trade‑policy changes.
• Monitor market trends, tariff impacts, and regulatory changes to adjust tactics and maintain competitive advantage.
• Manage annual freight spend, negotiate contracts, and drive cost‑reduction initiatives while supporting safety and sustainability goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transportation strategy, network optimization, and freight spend management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Excellent analytical abilities to assess risk, market trends, and cost‑to‑serve metrics.
