Director, Commercial Operations

About the role

Akumin is seeking a Director of Commercial Operations to serve as the connective tissue between Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Analytics. You will own the systems, processes, and data infrastructure that enable a high‑performing sales organization, with Salesforce as the central operating platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end sales process and manage the Salesforce platform, including product catalog, pricing rules, workflow automation, and naming standards.
• Establish pipeline standards, opportunity hygiene, forecasting cadences, and sales governance reviews.
• Provide training, tools, onboarding curricula, playbooks, territory frameworks, and compensation documentation to enable rapid rep ramp‑up.
• Manage customer‑facing content, internal sales communications, and build performance scorecards against defined KPIs.
• Drive sales tool adoption, diagnose adoption gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Map current‑state workflows across functions, define RACI, SOPs, and automate processes.
• Serve as primary commercial stakeholder to Analytics, translating business questions into reporting requirements.
• Define and maintain commercial governance frameworks, policies, and territory/account assignment rules, and lead compliance audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years experience in customer success, sales, analytics, or commercial operations.
• Strong analytical ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Experience with CRM and reporting tools such as Salesforce, Excel, or Tableau.
• Proven track record supporting customer success initiatives, account management, or sales performance.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross‑functional projects.
