CT Technologist

About the role

The CT Technologist delivers safe, high‑quality computed tomography imaging while ensuring a supportive patient experience. Working independently, you will operate CT equipment, administer contrast agents, and manage patient safety throughout each exam.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures in accordance with department protocols, optimizing image quality while adhering to ALARA dose principles.
• Prepare patients, explain the exam using AIDET communication, and address any concerns to reduce anxiety.
• Obtain and verify clinical history, orders, and patient identification before each scan.
• Review, process, and, if necessary, repeat images to ensure diagnostic adequacy; finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Maintain CT equipment, keep work areas clean, and promptly report any technical issues.
• Support emergency response, restock supplies, and assist with patient transport as needed.
• Follow infection‑control procedures and comply with all regulatory and safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience.
• Current ARRT‑R (Radiography) and ARRT‑CT (Computed Tomography) certifications.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills
