Crew Operator – Maritime Crew Management

About the role

Black Sea Nexus is seeking a responsible and motivated Crew Operator to join our team in Batumi. You will act as a central point of contact for seafarers, shipowners, and vessel operators, ensuring smooth daily crew management and documentation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update seafarer databases and CVs.
• Communicate with candidates, conduct interviews, and verify certificates and documentation.
• Source and process crew vacancies from shipowners and management companies.
• Match qualified candidates to appropriate positions and prepare crew documentation.
• Monitor contracts, joining dates, and sign‑off dates.
• Maintain ongoing communication with shipowners and management companies.
• Resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently.

Required profile

• Fluent English (mandatory); Russian is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational abilities, and high attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Growth‑oriented, proactive mindset.
• Full‑time, on‑site availability (40 hours/week); students are not considered.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good knowledge of Google Workspace.
