Backend .NET Developer – Travel Platform

About the role

Andersen is hiring a Backend Developer (.NET) for a project developing a scalable travel platform and integrating multiple suppliers into a unified digital ecosystem. The customer is a technology‑driven company in the travel sector, providing a comprehensive booking and procurement platform for industry professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database optimizations for high‑performance data operations.
• Architect and develop event‑driven solutions using .NET Core/.NET Framework, including message queues, event sourcing, and asynchronous processing.
• Work with SQL Server and MongoDB to design efficient data models and queries that meet complex travel domain requirements.
• Develop, test, integrate, and deliver software that adheres to high development standards.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, PO and architects to estimate, plan, test, integrate and deliver scalable software.
• Create design documentation to ensure efficient maintenance.
• Explore current trends and recommend technologies that can improve the solution.
• Implement Redis caching strategies (cache‑aside, write‑through, TTL management) to reduce database load and improve API response times.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience with the Microsoft .NET technology stack (Framework and Core).
• Strong expertise in complex SQL Server queries, performance tuning and advanced features (CTEs, window functions).
• Solid experience with MongoDB aggregation pipelines, indexing and schema design.
• Hands‑on experience with event‑driven architecture and message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus.
• Proficiency with Entity Framework Core and understanding of ORM performance implications.
• Experience migrating legacy codebases to micro‑services and working with Azure services (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Functions, Service Bus).
• Upper‑Intermediate English level or higher.
