Android Developer

About the role

As an Android Developer at a leading Georgian bank, you will work closely with the development team and business units to create, maintain, and improve mobile applications that support the bank’s digital services. The role requires a proactive, creative, and collaborative mindset to deliver high‑quality solutions on time.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project scope, goals and product functionality to define clear deliverables.
• Design, develop and ship high‑quality Android increments alongside teammates.
• Break down features into manageable tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications, ensuring performance, security and usability.
• Participate in code reviews and share technical ideas with peers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and integrate with back‑end services.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in both Georgian and English.
• Team‑oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when needed.

Required skills

• Kotlin (primary) and Java (plus).
• Native Android development using the Android SDK.
• High‑performance UI development, including custom controls and UI elements.
• Experience with mobile system components such as sensors, media, threading, memory management, synchronization, networking and power optimization.
• Good knowledge of Android architecture patterns and Google design guidelines.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Version control with Git.
