Account Executive – ERP Solutions

About the role

OpenGov is seeking an Account Executive to lead sales of its ERP product suite within an assigned territory. The role involves full‑cycle sales activities—from prospecting and lead generation to presentations, proposals and contract negotiation—focused on public‑sector customers such as cities, counties, school districts and special districts.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute territory sales strategy for a defined OpenGov product suite.
• Identify and qualify new prospects through networking, cold‑calling and marketing initiatives.
• Conduct high‑level product demonstrations and sales presentations for senior government leaders.
• Collaborate with the ERP POD Leader and pre‑sales team to close complex multi‑suite opportunities.
• Manage relationships with existing customers, secure references and expand account footprint.
• Negotiate contracts and drive deals to closure while maintaining high standards of integrity and customer service.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead the full sales cycle for enterprise software solutions.
• Experience engaging senior leaders in local, state or special‑district government.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with internal product, marketing and pre‑sales teams.
• Quick learner who can acquire deep knowledge of OpenGov’s ERP offerings and public‑sector verticals.
