Housekeeper – Public Area Lead

About the role

The Public Area Lead Housekeeper ensures that all public spaces and guest areas meet Marriott’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Working on‑site in Batumi, the role combines hands‑on cleaning duties with supervisory support for the housekeeping team.

Key responsibilities

• Use checklists to verify cleanliness and condition of assigned public areas.
• Identify, document and report maintenance or safety issues; request preventative or non‑urgent repairs.
• Maintain, clean and store housekeeping equipment and complete required paperwork.
• Respond promptly to guest, front‑desk and service requests.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and performance coaching.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, including proper handling of flammable materials.
• Welcome guests, assist individuals with disabilities and uphold professional appearance standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than one year of related housekeeping experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, kneel and maneuver equipment throughout a shift.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using checklists and housekeeping documentation.
• Basic computer operation for entering information and accessing point‑of‑sale systems.
