Traveling Project Manager

About the role

The Traveling Project Manager leads drywall and steel stud framing projects from pre‑construction through final close‑out. You will ensure that all materials, layouts, and details align with project plans and specifications while coordinating with internal teams and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and build market relationships; estimate drywall/steel stud framing work.
• Review contracts with Senior Project Manager and obtain leadership sign‑off.
• Lead pre‑construction meetings to clarify scope, safety, quality, and production goals.
• Conduct weekly job walks to monitor site activities and manage change orders.
• Identify scope gaps, manage resources, and protect project financials.
• Coordinate information flow between field leaders, internal teams, and clients.
• Review work‑in‑progress, billing, and ensure final payment within 60 days of job completion.

Required profile

• Experience as a Project Engineer or similar role in commercial steel stud construction.
• Technical degree or 3‑5 years of construction field experience; Bachelor’s in Construction Management preferred.
• Strong ability to read complex construction documents and blueprints.
• Detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
