Team Leader – Construction Supervision

About the role

SMEC, a member of the Surbana Jurong Group, is seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee construction supervision for a major roads, highways, tunnels and bridge infrastructure project. The role will be based in Tbilisi and involves direct interaction with the client, stakeholders and the project team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) team.
• Act as the primary interface with the employer and other stakeholders.
• Oversee construction works for roads, tunnels and major bridges, ensuring compliance with contract conditions.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety and cost, and review contractor submissions and technical deliverables.
• Support the Employer’s Representative on project‑related matters and provide leadership to the project team.

Required profile

• Professional civil engineering qualification.
• PMP certification.
• Minimum 20 + years of overall experience.
• At least 10 years in roads, tunnels or major bridge projects under FIDIC or similar contracts.
• Minimum 10 years in a Team Leader or Project Manager role.
• Proven experience managing Construction Supervision teams.
• Experience with international funding agencies is preferred.
