Staff Software Engineer in Test

About the role

Samsung Food (Whisk) is looking for a Staff Software Engineer in Test to lead the technical direction of its quality platform and testing strategy. You will work closely with the Head of Quality, engineering managers, and platform teams to embed quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the architecture of the quality platform, including automated testing, CI/CD quality gates, contract validation, and quality intelligence.
• Partner with engineering teams to integrate quality standards, tooling, and validation infrastructure into their development processes.
• Lead the transition toward AI‑assisted, spec‑driven development practices, ensuring safety, measurability, and scalability.
• Build and maintain scalable test infrastructure and developer tooling adopted across multiple product lines.
• Collaborate with platform engineering to provide observability and monitoring for quality metrics.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering in Test (SET/SDET) or similar platform‑quality roles.
• Proven track record designing and delivering scalable quality systems used by large engineering organizations.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and sound technical judgment.
• Experience working in modern CI/CD, automation, and platform engineering ecosystems.
