Solar Civil Superintendent

About the role

Moss, a nationally‑ranked solar contractor, is seeking an experienced Solar Civil Superintendent to lead the field execution of solar EPC projects. The role oversees all on‑site construction activities, manages subcontractors, and ensures safety, quality, and schedule compliance from groundbreaking through close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, organize and direct construction of solar projects, maintaining a production schedule.
• Lead the site team from construction start through project close, interpreting scope for all personnel.
• Conduct pre‑construction meetings, identify project and owner contract requirements.
• Establish and enforce OSHA‑compliant safety protocols and quality‑control plans.
• Communicate regularly with owners, project managers, and internal teams; provide daily superintendent reports and schedule updates.
• Manage self‑performed work and supervise subcontractor performance.
• Oversee project turnover and close‑out processes, including documentation and sequencing.
• Coach and evaluate new team members, fostering a positive work environment.

Required profile

• 8+ years as the primary superintendent on solar construction projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple direct reports and large field crews.
• Experience coordinating with owners, project managers, and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction quality‑control procedures.
