Senior System Administrator

About the role

Social Discovery Group is looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator to manage and evolve its Microsoft infrastructure and virtual desktop environments. You will work remotely with a global team, supporting multiple data centers, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer corporate Microsoft services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority (PKI) and Group Policy.
• Maintain access platforms such as Atlassian Jira/Confluence, 1C/ERP, SQL Server, monitoring, backup, Google Workspace and Slack.
• Support VDI and terminal server farms, ensuring systems are patched, documented and available.
• Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
• Participate in infrastructure projects: AD domain migration, Citrix VDI replacement, load‑balancer stack upgrade, Windows server refresh and legacy decommissioning.
• Prepare implementation steps, build test environments, run pilots and update documentation (NetBox, Confluence).
• Take part in on‑call rotation to maintain system availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience administering Microsoft and VDI infrastructures.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one Active Directory domain or forest migration.
• Proven experience operating VDI or terminal access platforms in production.
• Strong knowledge of multi‑domain AD DS, forests, trusts, replication, FSMO, DFS, GPO and delegation.
