Senior Security and Network Engineer (Cloudflare)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Security and Network Engineer to lead the technical delivery of Cloudflare solutions for our enterprise customers. This hands‑on position involves designing, building, and operating complex, multi‑tenant Cloudflare configurations where reliability directly impacts customer trust.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end Cloudflare services including WAF, CDN caching, DDoS mitigation, DNS, TLS/mTLS, Zero Trust (Access, Tunnel, WARP), Workers and API Shield.
• Lead customer onboarding from discovery and migration planning through configuration build‑out, staging validation and go‑live.
• Develop automation and tooling for bulk configuration management, reporting and lifecycle operations using Cloudflare APIs and Terraform.
• Troubleshoot production issues across the delivery chain, from cache logic and WAF rule conflicts to routing anomalies and origin behavior.
• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks and quality gates to ensure reliable ongoing support.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on production experience with Cloudflare, not just conceptual knowledge.
• Deep understanding of HTTP, DNS, TLS, TCP/IP and ability to trace a request from client to origin.
• Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code and automation tools such as Terraform (Cloudflare provider) and scripting in Python or Go.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers and handling ambiguous technical requirements.
• Strong validation and change‑management discipline in environments where misconfiguration has business impact.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted engineering tools, reviewing generated code before production use.
