Senior Manager, Payment Integrity – Data Mining Programs

About the role

Centene is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Payment Integrity and Data Mining programs, overseeing cost recovery and containment initiatives that impact millions of members.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee internal and external cost recovery and cost containment initiatives, meeting project metrics and recovery goals.
• Manage vendor relationships, driving cost avoidance and recovery across national vendors.
• Partner with health plans to identify cost‑containment opportunities and collaborate on recovery categories.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets and targets for each vendor, supporting achievement of projected savings.
• Evaluate, streamline, and implement new processes to reduce costs.
• Present trends, recommend action plans, and assist with implementation.
• Assist health plans in understanding rules, regulations, and processes around cost recovery.
• Monitor performance of other departments for cost‑recovery opportunities.
• Compile and present reporting packages for senior management on cost avoidance and recovery initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in data analysis, finance or accounting.
• Experience with government program auditing and compliance monitoring (preferred).
• Project‑management experience (preferred).
