RN Charge Nurse - PRN Nights

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as a Charge Nurse on a PRN night schedule. In this role you will lead the night team, coordinate patient care, and act as a key liaison among patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, assess and evaluate patient conditions, updating care plans and intervening as needed to promote optimal outcomes.
• Deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care in accordance with hospital policies, ensuring accurate documentation of assessments, interventions and patient responses.
• Address patient and family concerns, provide education and foster patient‑centered care to enhance satisfaction.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing ideas to improve quality, safety and organizational performance.
• Maintain active RN licensure and required certifications, and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Mentor and support fellow nurses, promoting a positive work environment and high professional standards.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Current RN licensure (multi‑state or single‑state) and BLS certification.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment and collaborative skills.
• Commitment to patient advocacy and continuous professional growth.
