RN – Acute Care Orthopedic Surgical – Weekend Night – Full-Time

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in acute care orthopaedic surgical patients to work full‑time night shifts on weekends. The role involves delivering safe, evidence‑based care in a fast‑paced hospital environment while partnering with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence‑based practices.
• Provide culturally sensitive, patient‑centered care tailored to individual needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, offering education and goal‑setting support.
• Document care accurately and adhere to clinical standards and safety protocols.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and professional development.
• Mentor and precept colleagues and nursing students to foster workforce development.
• Contribute to protocol development, resource optimization, and data collection to enhance patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Current RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire.
• Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in acute orthopaedic surgical care.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and commitment to quality improvement.
