RN Acute Care Medical Telemetry – Full‑Time Night Shift

About the role

The Registered Nurse will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care on an acute care medical telemetry unit during night shift hours. Working within an interdisciplinary team, the RN follows evidence‑based guidelines and organizational policies to meet diverse patient needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and evidence‑based practice.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing education and setting goals to promote optimal outcomes.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care while fostering teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Support performance‑improvement initiatives, participate in research activities, and promote best practices.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to develop a competent nursing workforce.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Plan patient care across the continuum and contribute to protocol development for improved outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient‑care nursing experience.
• Current RN licensure with valid certification; BLS required.
• Associate or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments, demonstrate critical thinking, and respond effectively to emergencies.
