Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery/Bariatric – Acute Care

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will join an interdisciplinary acute‑care team focused on surgery and bariatric patients. You will provide safe, evidence‑based care while supporting patients and families throughout their hospital stay.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence‑based practices.
• Deliver relationship‑based, patient‑centered care tailored to diverse populations.
• Coordinate and document care through effective interdisciplinary communication.
• Support professional development by completing competency assessments, mentoring peers, and participating in performance‑improvement initiatives.
• Advance evidence‑based practice by collecting data, contributing to protocol development, and participating in research.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Utilize resources efficiently across the care continuum and contribute to system‑wide quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Current RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Less than one year of clinical experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, teamwork orientation, and commitment to evidence‑based practice.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active RN licensure.
