Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN Days - Oncology

About the role

This position provides patient‑centered, evidence‑based nursing care in an oncology setting on a PRN (as‑needed) basis. The RN will work collaboratively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate safe, quality care and ensure timely documentation while fostering an inclusive clinical environment.
• Partner with patients and their significant others to align care with their goals using appropriate communication methods.
• Support performance‑improvement initiatives, participate in research, and promote evidence‑based practice.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor, contributing to workforce development and a healthy work environment.
• Develop protocols, participate in data collection, and support resource management for best‑practice outcomes.
• Adhere to organizational policies, standards, and safety requirements, including regulatory and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Current RN license (single or multi‑state compact) with required certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Experience with computer systems, data entry, and related software preferred.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Data entry proficiency.
