Registered Nurse – Acute Care MedSurg (Full‑Time Night)

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will work the night shift on an acute care medical‑surgical unit, delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team. The role follows evidence‑based practice, shared governance and professional ethics to ensure safe outcomes for a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, formulate diagnoses, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes using evidence‑based standards.
• Provide culturally sensitive, patient‑focused care, actively involving patients and families in care decisions.
• Document and coordinate care accurately, communicating effectively with physicians, therapists and support staff.
• Participate in performance‑improvement initiatives, research activities and the promotion of evidence‑based practice.
• Mentor and support colleagues while adhering to organizational policies, safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred) and a valid RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact).
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ARC‑BLS) required at hire.
• Less than one year of clinical experience or recent completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Strong communication, critical‑thinking, time‑management and technology utilization abilities.

Required skills
