About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care joins an interdisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, safe, and patient‑centered care. Working under the guidance of Nurse Managers, the RN follows evidence‑based standards and professional nursing ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence‑based practices.
• Provide relationship‑based, culturally sensitive care tailored to individual patient needs and preferences.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision‑making.
• Coordinate and document safe care delivery, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives to enhance patient safety and care quality.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to develop a skilled nursing workforce.
• Engage in data collection, clinical inquiry, and resource development to optimize patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Active RN licensure (single‑state or multi‑state compact).
• Minimum of 5 years of direct patient care experience in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, time‑management, and technology skills.
• Ability to function effectively in fast‑paced, emergency situations with professionalism and respect.
