Observability Engineer – Zabbix & Grafana

About the role

ASBIS is expanding its internal IT department and seeks an Observability Engineer to design, build, and maintain a transparent, scalable, and reliable monitoring infrastructure for three key internal projects: a Global ERP migration, a Local ERP based on Odoo, and a suite of ~80 Nuxt.js/PHP web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance monitoring of networks, servers, and virtualization across three data centers.
• Create and maintain Zabbix templates, including items, triggers, discovery rules, and automatic equipment detection.
• Build Grafana dashboards tailored to infrastructure teams and management.
• Investigate incidents from alert detection through root‑cause analysis and post‑mortem reviews.
• Reduce alert noise and improve monitoring quality to ensure on‑call engineers are alerted only when necessary.
• Participate in migrating part of the monitoring metrics to a Prometheus stack.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Zabbix (items, triggers, templates, discovery).
• Experience with Grafana (dashboards, data sources, alerting).
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SNMP) and ability to diagnose issues.
• Basic Bash scripting ability.
• Understanding of monitoring and alerting principles, including good alert design and baseline monitoring.
