Medical Director / Senior Medical Director – Neurology or Psychiatry

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Medical Director or Senior Medical Director with a background in Neurology or Psychiatry to join our remote team serving EMEA clients. The role involves providing medical monitoring, pharmacovigilance support, and strategic guidance across multiple clinical research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver all medical support required for project delivery, adhering to sponsor agreements and timelines.
• Participate in study planning, feasibility assessments, and solution consulting.
• Provide therapeutic area training to study teams and contribute to the development and review of study documents such as protocols, monitoring plans, safety plans, and informed consent forms.
• Execute medical monitoring activities in line with Medical Monitoring Plans and act as Global or Regional Lead Physician as assigned.
• Contribute medical expertise to pharmacovigilance workflows, including review of serious adverse events.
• Support business development by offering medical consultancy to clients and assisting with protocol and drug development strategies.
• Conduct medical reviews of documents subject to client or regulatory audits.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice as a qualified Neurologist or Psychiatrist.
• Proven experience as a medical monitor, preferably within a CRO environment.
• Strong knowledge of drug development processes, medical monitoring, and study design.
• Experience with pharmacovigilance and pharmaceutical medicine.
