Manual QA Engineer (Mobile) – Full Remote

About the role

Social Discovery Group is looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join its mobile team. You will ensure the quality of iOS and Android applications by testing features, integrations, and user experiences across real devices and emulators.

Key responsibilities

• Understand app features, business rules, and backend/API dependencies.
• Define and maintain test strategies, test cases, and checklists for all mobile workflows.
• Perform manual functional, integration, UI/UX, exploratory and regression testing.
• Validate end‑to‑end workflows across mobile, backend APIs and third‑party services.
• Execute smoke/sanity tests for new builds and pre‑release validation.
• Validate store release builds (Play Store / App Store) including metadata and deep links.
• Support UAT, report defects with detailed logs and reproducible steps.
• Set up and maintain automation frameworks (UI + API) and automate core workflows.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for nightly and pre‑release runs.
• Generate test reports with coverage, pass/fail results and screenshots.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of mobile app testing on iOS and Android (real devices, emulators/simulators, cloud devices).
• Experience writing and executing test cases, scenarios and checklists.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman and REST/GraphQL testing.
• Ability to set up and maintain test environments and test data.
• Fluent English and Russian.
