Head of Software Engineering Acceleration (AI DevX)

About the role

Scientific Games is looking for a senior leader to drive software engineering acceleration across its global organization. The Head of Software Engineering Acceleration (AI DevX) will streamline developer workflows, improve engineering systems, and embed AI‑enabled development practices to boost productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and eliminate friction points in the software delivery lifecycle, including tooling, testing, code reviews, documentation, and repository guidance.
• Design and implement reusable AI‑driven systems and best‑practice frameworks that accelerate development across multiple teams.
• Build and lead a small high‑impact team focused on developer productivity and platform engineering.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering groups to define measurable productivity gains and track adoption.
• Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines, testing maturity, and repo health in a polyglot environment.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or product engineering.
• 5+ years leading initiatives that improve developer productivity or engineering systems at scale.
• Proven ability to move between strategy and hands‑on execution, with strong engineering credibility and clear written communication.
• Experience working in large, distributed, multi‑language organizations.
