Customs Entry Writer – CHB Operations Associate

About the role

As a Customs Entry Writer (CHB Operations Associate) you will ensure that customers' import shipments move smoothly, compliantly and on schedule. You will own end‑to‑end customs brokerage for a dedicated portfolio, working closely with carriers, freight forwarders, government agencies and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, providing timely updates and resolving shipment inquiries.
• Prepare and submit U.S. Customs entries and Partner Government Agency (PGA) filings in full compliance with regulations.
• Manage entry files according to KPIs, service standards and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate clearance activities with freight forwarders, carriers, airlines and CFS facilities to achieve timely release.
• Track inbound shipments from arrival through final delivery, proactively addressing delays or risks.
• Maintain accurate documentation and upload complete entry packages into internal systems.
• Support billing processes, delivery orders and operational reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure coverage, knowledge sharing and support during peak volumes.

Required profile

• Highly detail‑oriented with a strong focus on operational accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• 6–12 months of experience in customs brokerage, logistics or a related operational role (2+ years preferred in CHB or similar environments).
• Solid understanding of import processes and U.S. customs regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
