CDL Class B Driver

About the role

Orica is looking for a safety‑focused CDL Class B Driver to transport explosives and related materials for its mining, quarrying and oil & gas operations. The role involves delivering loads to customer sites while strictly adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) and Hazardous Materials (HazMat) regulations, as well as Orica’s internal safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load, secure and transport explosives, blasting agents and other hazardous materials to designated sites.
• Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, load manifests and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with site managers, blasting teams and logistics coordinators.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, HazMat, and company safety policies at all times.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class B license with clean driving record.
• Experience handling hazardous materials, preferably in mining, quarrying or oil & gas environments.
• Strong knowledge of DOT and HazMat regulations.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed safety procedures.
