System Administrator (VoIP/Asterisk)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Linux System Administrator with VoIP experience to manage, deploy, and maintain our telephony infrastructure. The role combines Linux system administration with practical VoIP engineering, covering configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of stable and reliable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain Linux‑based servers (Debian/Ubuntu) and Asterisk telephony systems.
• Set up SIP trunks, extensions, endpoints, call routing, dial plans, IVR menus, queues and forwarding scenarios.
• Integrate telephony with backend services, CRM platforms and third‑party APIs using Asterisk AMI/ARI.
• Monitor server performance, VoIP health and network traffic; troubleshoot SIP/RTP connectivity and call‑quality issues.
• Manage call‑record databases, ensure server security, firewalls, backups and apply system updates.
• Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with development teams.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, VoIP Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Russian for team communication.
• Ability to independently investigate and resolve technical issues.

Required skills

• Linux server administration (Debian/Ubuntu).
• Asterisk installation, configuration and administration.
• Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, NAT, codecs and VoIP networking.
• Experience with SIP trunks, call routing and dial‑plan design.
• Knowledge of Linux services, firewalls and network troubleshooting.
• Basic SQL and experience with MySQL/MariaDB.
• Familiarity with Asterisk AMI/ARI or similar telephony APIs.
• Server security, monitoring and backup procedures.
