Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Optio is looking for an experienced full‑stack engineer to own technical features from concept to production on its Customer Engagement Platform. You will work across backend and frontend, quickly adapt to any of our technologies, and ensure high reliability and performance for millions of daily records.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship end‑to‑end features, handling both happy‑path and failure scenarios.
• Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Defend architectural decisions with clear documentation and data‑driven arguments.
• Rapidly learn and become productive with new technologies as needed.
• Write clean, testable, high‑quality code for both backend and frontend components.
• Integrate data connectors, message adapters, and ensure data‑flow resilience and recoverability.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive capacity‑planning improvements.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Full‑stack expertise covering both backend and frontend.
• Hands‑on knowledge of distributed systems concepts such as idempotency, retry strategies, DLQ handling, and post‑failure recovery.
• Experience processing large data volumes (batch, streaming, or both).
• Proven track record of delivering at least one production‑ready system.
