Senior Python Backend Engineer (HealthTech)

About the role

We are seeking a Middle+/Senior Python Backend Engineer to join a fast‑growing health‑tech startup building a digital HMO for the US market. You will design and implement robust, scalable backend services that power video consultations, proactive health management and personalized insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy RESTful APIs and micro‑services using Python, Django and Django‑REST‑Framework.
• Architect and maintain high‑performance backend infrastructure on cloud platforms, ensuring reliability and security.
• Optimize PostgreSQL and Redis data stores, create efficient data models for complex healthcare workflows.
• Integrate internal systems with external medical and insurance platforms.
• Implement unit and integration tests and embed them in CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering peers on system design and code reviews.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Django/DRF and micro‑services architecture.
• Proven experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker and cloud environments.
• Fluent English and ability to work effectively in distributed global teams.
