Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build and maintain internal platforms that give development teams self‑service capabilities for deploying, monitoring and managing applications at scale. The role is fully remote within Georgia, allowing you to work from home, our offices in Tbilisi or Batumi, or a coworking space in Kutaisi.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate internal platforms that enable self‑service deployment, monitoring and management for multiple development teams.
• Create and maintain standardized tools, frameworks and libraries to streamline workflows and enforce best practices.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines, cloud services and developer tools into a cohesive ecosystem.
• Ensure high availability, reliability and performance of platform services across hybrid‑cloud and multi‑data‑center environments.
• Measure and improve platform efficiency using DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR).
• Provide documentation, training and support to improve the developer experience.
• Collaborate with development, operations and security teams to resolve platform issues and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps or related roles.
• Strong understanding of software development processes, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep) and GitOps solutions (Flux, ArgoCD).
• Hands‑on experience with internal developer platforms such as Backstage, Humanitec or OpsLevel.
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
