Senior Accountant – Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead a team of accountants at AccurAi, providing outsourced accounting, tax and financial services to SMEs in Georgia. The role combines team management with hands‑on work on complex accounting and tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and distribute workload, monitor performance and support accountants with ongoing tasks.
• Oversee processing of primary documentation and accurate recording in accounting systems such as 1C, Balance, QuickBooks, Oris and Fina.
• Supervise issuance and confirmation of electronic documents on RS.GE, including invoices.
• Review accuracy and timely submission of VAT, income tax and profit tax returns.
• Monitor tax calendar deadlines and mandatory reporting requirements.
• Oversee bank statement reconciliation and correct classification of transactions.
• Review reports submitted to the National Statistics Office of Georgia.
• Communicate with clients on accounting and tax matters.
• Provide professional support, share knowledge and integrate new team members.
• Identify accounting and tax risks and improve internal controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years as a Senior Accountant.
• Practical knowledge of Fina and experience in the restaurant industry.
• Experience managing at least two accountants or assistants.
• Strong knowledge of Georgian tax legislation and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in English and Russian.
• Proficiency in Excel with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience participating in the implementation of accounting software within a company.
