RN Charge Nurse - PRN Nights

About the role

This position is for a Registered Nurse working as a Charge Nurse on a PRN (as‑needed) night shift. The nurse delivers high‑quality patient care, coordinates the care team, and serves as a key liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and assist in care planning, applying clinical judgment while collaborating with team members.
• Prioritize patient needs, deliver safe care according to policies, and accurately document all care activities.
• Act as an advocate by addressing patient concerns, providing education, and ensuring patient‑ and family‑centered care.
• Support performance‑improvement efforts, contribute ideas, and participate in initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Maintain professional licensure, certifications, and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Foster a positive work environment by mentoring colleagues, upholding professionalism, and adhering to safety and confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Current RN license and required certifications, including BLS.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to professional growth and quality‑improvement initiatives.
