RN Charge Nurse – MedSurg, Full‑Time Nights

About the role

The Registered Nurse Charge Nurse provides high‑quality patient care on a medical‑surgical unit during night shifts. Working closely with the care team, the RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates treatment plans while serving as a communication bridge between patients, families and providers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, examine and evaluate patient conditions, assist with care planning and take actions to promote optimal outcomes.
• Deliver care according to established policies, accurately document assessments, care provided and any incidents.
• Advocate for patients by addressing concerns, providing education and communicating with families and staff to enhance satisfaction.
• Participate in performance‑improvement initiatives and support process enhancements to improve quality outcomes.
• Mentor and support colleagues, promote a positive work environment and uphold professionalism, confidentiality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Active RN license (multi‑state or single‑state) and current BLS certification.
• Strong communication, critical‑thinking and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to healthcare standards.
