Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery/Bariatric – Acute Care

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse is an essential member of an interdisciplinary team delivering individualized, high‑quality, and safe patient care in an acute‑care setting. Working within evidence‑based standards and organizational values, the nurse provides patient‑centered care that respects cultural diversity and partners with patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care using critical thinking and evidence‑based practices.
• Deliver relationship‑based, culturally sensitive care tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Engage patients and families through clear communication, education and shared decision‑making.
• Coordinate safe, high‑quality care with accurate documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Support professional development by completing competency assessments, mentoring peers and participating in performance‑improvement activities.
• Promote research, evidence‑based practice and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate on protocol development, resource management and system improvements to enhance patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Current RN licensure (single‑state or multi‑state compact) and BLS certification.
• Less than one year of clinical experience required; prior direct patient‑care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication and teamwork abilities.
