Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery/Bariatric - Acute Care

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team, delivering individualized, high‑quality, and safe patient care. They practice within a supportive environment guided by evidence‑based standards, professional models, and organizational values.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence‑based practice.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education, ensuring patient goals are central to care plans.
• Coordinate safe, quality care and document accurately, promoting respectful, inclusive teamwork.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities to enhance patient outcomes.
• Support professional development by completing required competencies, mentoring, and serving as a preceptor.
• Advocate for evidence‑based practice and participate in protocol development and resource management.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s Nursing degree preferred.
• Current RN license (single or multi‑state compact) and BLS certification required.
• Less than one year of clinical experience preferred, with completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
