About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in an acute surgical setting. The role follows evidence‑based standards and organizational values to meet each patient’s unique clinical and cultural needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and evidence‑based practices.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication, bedside reports, and education focused on patient goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate care to promote safety and quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, participate in performance‑improvement initiatives, and support shared governance.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional development and uphold nursing standards.
• Promote research, evidence‑based practice, and compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
• Contribute to resource planning and protocol development to optimize patient care and system efficiency.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred) and an active RN license (single‑state or multi‑state Compact) with BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient‑care experience in an acute care setting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with technology and basic computer skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments, demonstrating critical thinking and effective time management.
