Registered Nurse – Acute Care Orthopedic Surgery (Full-time Day Shift)

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality, safe, patient‑centered care in an acute care orthopedic surgery setting, working within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. The RN will engage patients and families in care planning and ensure documentation and communication meet organizational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence‑based practices.
• Deliver culturally sensitive, relationship‑based care and involve patients and families in care decisions.
• Maintain safe, quality care through accurate documentation and interdisciplinary communication.
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Support resource development, protocol creation, and efficient care delivery.
• Mentor and precept other nurses and healthcare staff.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license (single‑state or multi‑state Compact) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
