Registered Nurse - Acute Care - Med Surg/Post Surgical - Full Time Day Shift

About the role

The Registered Nurse provides high‑quality, safe patient care on a 28‑bed medical‑surgical unit that primarily serves post‑surgical patients, including telemetry and general med‑surg cases. The RN works within an interdisciplinary team to deliver culturally competent, patient‑centered care during full‑time day shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence‑based practices.
• Deliver culturally competent, relationship‑centered care and educate patients and families.
• Coordinate safe, quality documentation and promote teamwork in a respectful clinical environment.
• Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and uphold safety policies.
• Serve as a preceptor and mentor, assisting in protocol development and resource optimization.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license (single‑state or multi‑state compact) and BLS certification.
• Minimum six months of direct patient care experience.
• All required certifications must be obtained upon hire.
