Program Manager II – COB, TPL & Subrogation

About the role

Centene is seeking a Program Manager II to lead and coordinate COB, TPL, and Subrogation initiatives across multiple health plans. The role involves planning, organizing, and monitoring cross‑functional programs to meet strategic business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, monitor and oversee cross‑functional programs delivering defined requirements.
• Lead vendor implementations, operational enhancements, regulatory readiness, and recovery optimization projects.
• Serve as primary coordinator, facilitating meetings, tracking deliverables, and managing issue resolution.
• Gather requirements, create project plans, manage resources and drive execution.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, risk and issue logs.
• Communicate program status to management and stakeholders, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate cross‑functional meetings to align stakeholder expectations and business objectives.
• Manage projects through the full lifecycle, providing leadership and negotiating resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of quality improvement, program or project management experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred, especially with COB, TPL, Subrogation, Recovery Operations, Payment Integrity or Claims Operations.
• Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives involving vendors, technology teams and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial reimbursement and recovery processes.
