About the role

The Physical Therapy Assistant works alongside Physical Therapists to develop and implement programs that restore or improve patient mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion.

Key responsibilities

Implement treatment plans under therapist guidance and select appropriate activities to meet patient goals.
Revise care plans collaboratively, provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
Document treatment sessions accurately, complete required reports, and ensure compliance with departmental protocols.
Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and proper attire.
Communicate effectively with team members, participate in meetings, and promote a positive, respectful environment.
Engage in professional development, complete mandatory training, and assist in training new staff.
Adhere to safety, infection control, and organizational policies.

Required profile

High School Diploma and Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
PTA certification and BLS certification.
