Part-Time Acute Care/Med-Surg Registered Nurse

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse works within an interdisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, safe, and patient‑centered acute care and medical‑surgical services on a part‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to individualize patient care.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision‑making.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care using interdisciplinary methods while promoting a respectful and inclusive environment.
• Support performance‑improvement initiatives, research, and evidence‑based practices to enhance care quality.
• Participate in professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and uphold licensing and certification requirements.
• Contribute to protocol development and resource management to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Valid RN license (multi‑state compact or single‑state) and current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, preferably in direct patient care.
• Strong communication, critical‑thinking, time‑management, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast‑paced environment and respond calmly to emergencies.
• Proficiency with clinical technology and adherence to legal, regulatory, and safety standards.
