Managed Services Technician – Windows/Linux & VM Administration

About the role

LightEdge Solutions is seeking a full‑time Managed Services Technician to deploy, configure and support Windows and Linux operating systems in customer environments. The role focuses on virtual machine creation, OS deployment, patching, and service layering while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the work ticket queue and document all actions taken.
• Deploy servers, install applications, configure backups and monitoring per customer requests.
• Perform patch deployment, troubleshooting and service layering for managed‑service environments.
• Create and maintain virtual machines on VMware ESXi platforms.
• Support and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Other duties as required.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience with Microsoft server platforms and integrations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills across mid‑size to enterprise organizations.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, follow‑up and complete tasks.
• Basic experience with Linux platforms and Active Directory design, migration, troubleshooting and configuration.
• Experience supporting VMware ESXi environments and solid troubleshooting methodology.
• Basic knowledge of DNS, network ports and Windows Firewall.
