Investment Officer – Fixed Income Research

About the role

ArcticBlu Capital is seeking an Investment Officer to lead fixed‑income research across its multi‑asset portfolios. You will work directly with the CEO, covering US Treasuries, investment‑grade and high‑yield credit, and emerging‑market debt.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor US Treasury curves, Federal Reserve policy, global rates and macro data, turning them into duration and curve positioning recommendations.
• Analyse sovereign issuers, banks and corporate/quasi‑sovereign issuers, assessing fiscal health, credit quality, liquidity and refinancing risk.
• Split bond returns into interest‑rate and credit‑spread components and evaluate relative value across maturities, ratings and sectors.
• Prepare portfolio updates, performance attribution and risk reports, ensuring holdings stay within investment limits.
• Support day‑to‑day portfolio management, including trade execution, record‑keeping and use of Bloomberg, Python and AI tools for faster research.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in fixed‑income research, credit analysis, bond trading, or related financial institutions.
• Strong command of bond mathematics (yield, duration, convexity, spread measures) and ability to analyse financial statements of banks and corporates.
• Working knowledge of credit markets, including emerging‑market and high‑yield debt.
• Fluent English (C1/C2) with clear, concise writing skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Bloomberg fixed‑income functions.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Python programming for data analysis (a plus).
